The point of ionic detoxes is to make the body’s pH more alkaline. Acidic environments within the body are said to allow diseases to remain stagnant and thrive. An electrical current causes and ion exchange to occur when the feet are in the water with the ionizer. When this happens, positive ions are attracted to the negative and the result is drawing impurities out. Reputable brands of ionic foot detoxification systems are said to help clear the system of yeast, heavy metals, detoxify the liver and kidneys, and overall, potentially reduce inflammation.
~Christine Adamo, a board certified oriental medical physician utilizes this treatment on cancer patients who are looking to help decrease the effects of chemotherapy side effects. She has also examined test results of patients doing a urine pH test prior to the test and after. We offer 3rd party lab testing. From hormonal panels, lipid panels, food sensitivities, and more. We charge what the 3rd party charges us and a lab draw fee on top of that. Our NP can help discuss a treatment plan/recommendations with you after your results have come in. The word therapeutic means-relating to the healing of a disease. Paige considers all massages to be “therapeutic”. However, this will look different for each person. It may involve some relaxation techniques, some deep tissue, along with assisted stretching or cupping therapy. Prior to the massage session we will discuss your goals for the treatment and the therapeutic massage session will be tailored to help your desired areas of healing.*All massage therapy sessions include: a hot towel treatment, cupping therapy if appropriate, and 1-2 essential oils intuitively picked and placed along the spine or feet.
***For students ages 8-16 sign them up for the 30-minute session and it will be offered at $40.

*Cupping is included in any massage therapy session if desired.
Cupping allows the fascia (connective soft tissue) to be “lifted” in an opposite direction other than therapists always “pushing down” on the tissues. Cupping can immensely improve blood and lymph circulation, help release scar tissue, and reduce adhesion restrictions, just to name a few of the benefits. Cupping can be traced back to 1550 B.C. used as an ancient form of alternative healing. Hollow animal horns were created with a hole on top to allow air to be pulled in creating a “vacuum suction” technique. Paige is certified in cupping through ACE Institute and practices medi-cupping and traditional vacuum cupping (no fire is utilized). -

*I encourage you to continue to lay in a "just be" state of mind after your massage session has ended for an additional 5-7 minutes. There is no rush, and no reason to jump up right after a bodywork session.
*Spa robes are provided for you to get from the sauna room to the massage room or vice versa, however feel free to bring in your own if you feel more comfortable doing so.
*If you choose to utilize sauna time prior to your massage and become very sweaty, there is a shower here for a quick rinse prior to the massage therapy session if needed.
