Botox, Xeomin, and Jeuveau are all neurotoxins. They are all FDA-approved injectable treatments that contain botulinum toxin type A (BoNT-A) as the active ingredient 1. These neurotoxins work by blocking the release of neurotransmitters from the junction between nerves and muscles, which temporarily paralyzes the muscles and reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by facial expressions.
